The easiest way to tell the difference between an alpaca and a llama is to look at the ears. Alpacas have fox ears, llamas have banana ears.
@llamasoft_ox you don’t even need pictures to tell the difference between weasels and stoats, however. Stoats are weaslily recognised while weasels are stoatitly different.
@llamasoft_ox never knew that. Another piece of triv... valuable information to clog...file away for future use. Thanks😁
@llamasoft_ox And they’re both cute as heck!
@llamasoft_ox llama banana - got it!
@llamasoft_ox and either one will gladly spit at you.
@llamasoft_ox I think thinking of the llama ears as being like tongues of flames would be even more useful, since llama is a homonym in Spanish that means both that animal and “flame”
@llamasoft_ox When is an alpaca not an alpaca. When it has banana ears
@llamasoft_ox alpacas have bangs.
@llamasoft_ox Bananas don't have ears, silly.
@Elleaster again, the ears will help! Ears forward and up - fine to approach. Ears down and back - back off. Ears very down and back, muzzle raised - about to fire, look out!
Works for both species :)
