@llamasoft_ox It nearly reminds me the only time ( many years ago, it could be changed now ) I had to wait at the Luton airport and I was looking for some "decent food" and the stuff was *SO* bad that the only "decent" stuff was some pre-made sushi .. At least those noodles seem "proper" .. ok SPANISH GUYS what is "proper" Spanish cuisine then ??
@gilesgoat @llamasoft_ox Well, he already had the Spanish omelette (with fried potatoes inside, right?), which is the essential dish.
Depends on the region, but good ham (and cured meats in general); pretty similar to Italy in that regard (I discovered and loved coppa recently). Unless you're not into meat, of course. As he's in Catalonia, I'd recommend foet/fuet, also. On "pa amb tomàquet" (tomato rubbed in bread).
@llamasoft_ox @gilesgoat And it's greasy/oily/heavy, but tapas of course. The main staple is "patatas bravas", then everyone has their personal favorites (mine are "bacallà esqueixat" [raw salted cod], "pimientos del Padrón" [Russian roulette peppers], "chocos" [some shellfish], "pinchos" [skewered meat]...)
